Meet the Ponies!

Matilda | Sergeant | Wombat | Missy | Jillaroo | April | Chum | Peanuts

You can see more photos of the ponies in the Pony Parties Gallery.

MatildaMatilda is about 11 years old. She's a pinto Shetland, so she's only about 10 hands tall. She's very cute and cheeky, and has a big brown spot right on her bottom with her tail growing out of the middle!

SergeantSergeant (we call him 'Sarge') is the oldest - he's over 30 years old. He's grey and about 13.2 hands. He doesn't do pony rides, probably because he can't be bothered! He grumbles and sighs around the paddock.

WombatWombat is one of our miniature ponies - he's so tiny! He's only a bit over 8 hands. He gives pony rides to little kids.

MissyMissy is Matilda's foal. She's almost two years old! She's one of our party ponies, and she's good at it because she really, really, really likes lots of affection! She's a little bit posh and dainty, and even bosses her mum around!

JillarooJillaroo is the biggest party pony. She's about 14.2 hands and about 17 years old.. We nicknamed her "Barbie" because she's a palomino and is sometimes a bit of a bimbo!

AprilApril is a goat, but she thinks she's a horse! She's very friendly, and lives with the other party ponies in the paddock. She's about 14 years old. She's got lots of dreadlocks at the moment because she's moulting for summer!

Chum was our 20 year-old black Australian Pony. She was about 12.2 hands. She did a lot of pony club when she was younger, and still liked to be shown what to do. She was very patient and obedient, but she didn't like flies!

Peanuts Peanuts was our cheeky little white Shetland Pony. A lot of kids grew up learning to ride on his sturdy little back. He died last year after a long and happy life. Here's a poem we wrote for him.
